ACME Solar Signs 25-Year Power Supply Deal With SJVN, Expands Battery Storage in Rajasthan

ACME Solar Signs 25-Year Power Supply Deal With SJVN, Expands Battery Storage in Rajasthan

ACME Solar Holdings has signed a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with SJVN Limited to supply renewable power under a 450 MW Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project, the company said in a regulatory filing.

The contract was awarded under tariff-based competitive bidding through an e-reverse auction, with the company receiving the letter of award in November 2025.

Under the agreement, ACME Solar will deliver 450 MW / 1,800 MWh of renewable power, including four hours of assured peak power supply during non-solar hours, with a target availability of 90% on a monthly and annual basis.

To ensure reliable supply during evening and night peak periods, the project will combine solar power generation with stored energy from battery energy storage systems (BESS).

Following the latest agreement, ACME Solar said its total PPA order book has reached 6,270 MW, strengthening the company’s long-term revenue visibility through contracted renewable energy supply.

The company is also expanding its battery storage infrastructure to support firm renewable power delivery. Earlier this week, ACME Solar commissioned the third phase of its 285 MW / 601 MWh battery energy storage system project in Rajasthan.

So far, the company has commissioned 76 MW of capacity under the storage project, which is designed to support grid stability and ensure renewable energy availability during peak demand hours.

The development reflects growing demand in India for firm and dispatchable renewable energy solutions, which combine solar generation with energy storage to provide reliable power beyond daylight hours.

India has been increasing investments in renewable energy and storage technologies as part of its broader strategy to expand clean power capacity and strengthen grid reliability.
